With our initiatives and social events in Worthing and Sussex we are working to improve social cohesion through our food growing and cookery projects. Over the past years we have reached hundreds of people by inviting them to join us for a meal.

With our Neptune's Larder project we celebrate an ancient superfood and source of nutrition, sea and soil health. We run a number of seaweed beach walks, cookery courses and sell seaweed products to share this amazing sustainable seafood with locals and visitors to Worthing. We are also currently in the planning stages for a pop-up seaweed spa in Spring 2019.

The Worthing Honey Collective is the first community supported beehive scheme with the aim of turning Worthing into a pollinator friendly town. We sell hive products to support our social enterprise, with us having already placed three hives across two South Downs Leisure sites in Worthing. We now invite locals to join the “Brood Chamber”, an informal monthly group meeting to learn more about bees, beekeeping and other pollinators to eventually join the Collective looking after the hives.

The Last Fisherman Standing: From autumn 2016 to summer 2018 we are running "The last fisherman standing", a Heritage Lottery funded project, to reclaim our town's rich fisheries heritage. Find out about our events here or head to our new website to find out more.
Our May Close community allotment is run in collaboration with Breathing Spaces. A place to enjoy stress-free gardening and meeting people. Everyone is welcome and gardening suits all levels of ability including seated work.
